Account Executive – ESRI Data and Applications

WDT is growing! Grow along with us as an Account Executive on our sales team! We seek an account executive with deep knowledge of the ESRI corporate and technological ecosystem. Individual should have an understanding of geospatial technology and the vision of enhanced weather data and applications in the ESRI world.  We offer an attractive compensation and benefits package including uncapped commission structure. We’ve outlined below, a specific list of requirements for this position:

  • Understand and articulate the unique value of WDT’s weather data and applications to prospective customers
  • Strategically build relationships with ESRI personnel and ESRI business partners
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new accounts and upsell existing accounts
  • Drive thought leadership in your vertical market through blogging, presentations, and conference attendance
  • Effectively move prospects through the sales funnel and accurately document activities in Hubspot CRM 

Background Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Strong knowledge of ESRI corporate and technological ecosystem
  • Familiarity with weather data/applications and value propositions
  • Flexibility and eagerness to identify, learn, and use new and changing technologies
  • Knowledge of the Federal/State/Local Government, Mining/Manufacturing/Supply Chain, Water Resources, or Petroleum/Pipeline markets
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities at once
  • Proficiency in the use of a CRM for every aspect of the sales process

DevOps Engineer

Full/Part-time: Full-time
Location: Norman, OK

Weather Decision Technologies, Inc. (WDT) is seeking a DevOps engineer to join its team. You will be working with a tight-knit group of engineers and developers building the next generation weather decisions platform. WDT is a Norman-based weather company focused on providing world class decision support tools and products to a wide range of consumers and weather sensitive industries around the globe.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities The specific focus for the DevOps Engineer is on automation and optimization of the development and platform management lifecycle, including:

• Establish continuous integration (CI) pipeline to fully automate deployment of the highly available, mission critical cloud platform that supports WDT’s products
• Create scripts and templates to build cloud-based development systems for our software engineers
• Build tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test and production environments.
• Work with developers on software and system optimizations, helping to identify and remove potential performance bottlenecks
• Stay up-to-date on relevant technologies, plug into user groups, understand trends and opportunities to ensure we are using the best possible techniques and tools
• Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes

Qualifications
• Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and scripting
• Extensive experience with a public cloud provider, ideally Amazon Web Services
• Familiarity with a wide variety of open source technologies
• Amazon Web Services certification highly desired
• Software process automation with popular scripting languages (Java, Python, Node.js,)
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available mission critical service
• Experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language
• Understanding of Agile and other development processes and methodologies
• Source, build/release, and configuration management in a continuous integration & delivery environment
• Application performance analysis and monitoring

Experience
• 3 or more years working in DevOps, software development, or network management
• Two or more years’ experience provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent

Sales Associate

WDT seeks enthusiastic, career-minded, self-motivated individuals to work in a professional business-to-business sales environment as Junior and Senior Business Development Managers.  You will join a sales team responsible for aggressively building revenue in WDT’s WeatherOps and SkyWise product lines.

Requires outbound lead development and cold calling efforts. In addition to responding to customer inquiries, you will also conduct outbound prospecting by creating targeted lists and campaigns to identify and develop a customer base. Successful candidates will have knowledge of sales processes associated with selling software as a service solutions, performing sales of technology-based solutions and a bonus would be experience or knowledge selling weather services in a B2B environment.

Skills & Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • 3+ years successful sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience or knowledge of prospecting and lead generation through social media, email, conferences, and phone calls
  • Dynamic sales presentations in-person and through conference calls
  • Thought leadership activities, including presentations and blogs
  • Skilled relationship-builder, negotiator and closer
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
